EBay Start Up Supplies

The following is a list of articles that I found to be most useful to be prepared and organized as an eBay seller. I also give a brief explanation of how the element can be used to make your job easier.

The inventory sheet is my creation. When fully completed will contain important information that you want to keep for future reference. After all, selling on eBay is a business venture and should have adequate record keeping.

Inventory sheets are the most important item in this kit. Inventory sheets to keep track of items and information relating to your eBay auction. Inventory sheets are also good to keep a permanent record of all transactions on eBay. I can also tell you how much of a gain or loss you made in your voice. Use one card for each inventory item being auctioned on eBay.

A master log sheet to keep track of inventory numbers and descriptions.

This is useful when you have a lot of auction items and need a quick reference to find a serial number, without thinking of flipping through all the inventory sheets. The register will also tell you the next issue of inventory available when you are ready to add another element and start another sheet inventory.

A binder to keep your inventory sheets in order.

Folders to store the inventory sheets completed. You will need to have 12 file folders so that they can be labeled by the month. You should also submit the items inventory sheet that failed to sell. He wants to know the expenses incurred with all transactions for income tax purposes.

A small tape measure to take the boxes and objects.

A roll of clear packing tape to seal packages and good attacking shipping labels.

A gun tape for sealing the package and easily.

A calculator for a total dollar amount on your inventory sheet.

Thank you cards to include with your auction item. I use business cards for thank you cards. Each card has space to enter your e-mail address and eBay My World.

A small pair of scissors for cutting good tape labels and shipping.

A good Sharpie for the marking of packets. Some packages may need to be marked FRAGILE.

A yellow highlighter to mark important information on inventory sheets.

If a buyer has special requirements for handling, I have always highlighted for quick reference.

A convenient tote bag with pockets to hold your supplies eBay. I noticed that my supplies were lost so I started to use a bag to store my stuff. I put my gun belt use in the main compartment and pockets for my scissors, pens, pencils, and calculator.

Priority Mail shipping cartons available for free at your local post office.

A digital postal scale is good to determine shipping costs.

Packing materials necessary to help your article to be delivered safely. This can be rolled up newspaper, bubble wrap and / or peanut packaging. In my city we have a newspaper print shop that sells its final rolls. A roll of white paper left on the end of the roller ends. They are good to use because there is no ink on paper. The ink is very messy to work with and do not want to leave black marks on your beautiful white Priority Mail boxes.

A notes for the carrying out of inventory sheets waiting for payment. If an item sells, take the inventory sheet and place it on a clipboard. I hang on a hook in the clipboard so you can see at a glance what needs to be paid.

After the item was paid, I can finish the compilation of the inventory sheet, print a packing list and voice package for shipment. I address the ways side of the paper on clipboard to indicate the item is ready for shipment.

When I get back from the post office take the inventory sheets off the clipboard and match them with acknowledgment of receipt from the post office. Then they are filed within the month sent.

A stapler to fasten sheets of inventory for shipment receipt.

A printer for printing invoices and packing lists. Always include a packing list or a copy of the invoice with all items shipped. This will give the buyer a reminder of what you buy and from whom.

A digital camera to take pictures of your item on eBay.

Clear plastic bags to protect the object from any dirt and odors. I always pack my items in bags just in case if the package is damaged in transit. They are also good for keeping small items in inventory and you can mark the item number on the bag.

A place to store your items inventory eBay. This can vary from a cardboard box for many simple plastic boxes stored on a shelving system. Mark each box or tote with a number. There is a line on the sheet of Inventory to record the position of the element. Make sure your inventory is stored in an area free of smoke and is protected by other odors that devalue your inventory. A garage may have smells of gasoline and a dining room might have cooking odors. I've seen sellers get negative feedback, because the voice had an odor of smoke .......
