Organic SEO - The Hidden Costs of the success of search engines

The most of us web marketers start 'the same way. We hear all about equal in the world Search Engine Marketing and think that we will be making money in no time. Just make a website fast, presents it to search engines and wait for the checks start coming in. ..

Unfortunately, soon break into the reality we face. You see, making money on the web is different then money in the real world, it is just easier. Ah, but let's face it, deep down, we knew what kind of time.

Case in point is the world of Organic SEO. Organic SEO is the Holy Grail of web marketing. Its promise is that you can get free targeted web traffic to your sites and this traffic buy whatever you're trying to sell. While it is true that a search engine like Google is free to send millions of users of these free classifieds every day, and Google does its best to show his only visitors lists that are relevant to what they are looking for. There may be substantial costs associated with these "free" listings.

First of all there's time. Hey, we all know that time is money. Get a list the top five on Google for "keyword phrase money" is not an easy proposition. For any given keyphrase, there can be literally millions of listings competitors. It can take months even years to get your site a short distance from the front. The fact is that if you are not among the top five results, you're not going to get any significant traffic to your website.

Next you need to factor to consider is the cost to perform the actual work SEO. You can hire an SEO professional to do the job for you and this could cost thousands of dollars. Furthermore, SEO is not a job you can do once and forget about it. This is a proposal underway. Search engines are constantly updating their algorithms, what is working today may not work tomorrow. An SEO should continue to monitor your pages and performing various changes, even after six in the top positions. Make no mistake, but did not do for free.

Ask your SEO is often a viable solution, however, as is usually the most convenient, is not free. You have to learn the techniques that are effective now and then you need to implement those techniques. All this costs money in the form of learning, it takes more time and, like anything else, it takes practice to get right. Keep in mind all the time you'll spend about SEO and the time is spent actually doing the work is not much you can spend time doing other things (things like finding new markets, or later with existing customers).

So what's the answer? One approach I've always had success with is to collect the low-hanging fruit first. To do this I try phrases that are easier to rank for phrases that do not have a lot of competition. They are able to rank for these phrases much easier and faster then the "big money" phrases. A further advantage is that these phrases "long tail" are often more focused and better then convert those other more general phrases....
