Estimating Outsourcing - He Reduce costs?
Contrary to most of the perceptions there is no clear-cut answer to this question. By outsourcing estimated to have low fixed costs and lower total cost of ownership, but this may not necessarily be more or less what you get charged.
Fixed costs in the home team estimates include the fact that you have to pay salaries, electricity and other costs if you do not have a job. Have reduced the flexibility in terms of scale upwards or downwards depending on the market. So, in a market in a mat house team estimation is likely to cost more than if you did all your estimates for outsourcing it. On the other hand, if one operates in the vicinity of the full capacity, then the operating efficiency is high and low costs per job.
Outsourcing on the other hand will give you greater flexibility. It transfers substantially all the risks associated with the ups and downs of the market, the person to outsource. It pays to work and not have to worry about anything else.
However, its difficult to judge in a short time is the best option. You need to evaluate the average costs estimated to work on a full economic cycle and then compare it with what you are or will pay if you were outsourcing, however.
But this in itself is not sufficient. You also need to look at the value of the service being offered. The quality comparable to that obtained in the house. And 'better or worse? After all, if you have more business that can afford to pay more and vice versa .......
