Zodiac, the murderer of the Bay Part 2

Within the nebula Zodiac sow doubts that he knew over his criminal career, is the number of crimes actually committed. Some researchers claim that, at least, they may be about 50 victims, but the same has been attributed to murderer through his letters some 37 events, not all possible would be verifiable, and many ingenious tricks that got confused in the criminal way to divert the investigation.

Some of the cases that are assumed may have been part of the history of Zodiac share many similarities with those who truly took place. Several years before the first attack of Zodiac, in 1963, a young couple was murdered in similar circumstances to the first and third attack. Bates Cheri's death in 1966 was also marked by the characteristics of the criminal. But it is believed that he was not who the perpetrator, but he who made the letters sent to newspapers in the area claimed responsibility for the event, something that has not yet been proven.

"The police never caught me, because I'm ready for them," he wrote in one of his letters and words could not be more prescient. Precisely in that direction should be as confusing and illogical, lies one of the greatest difficulty that has arisen Zodiac investigators, and not only official but also private and amateurs, overwhelming everyone with his wit and cunning.

Their numbers encrypted, the way in which write their messages, the particular symbolism used in his letters did more than put in agreement and disagreement on several issues researchers. However, none of them could be even close to catching him, even though the murderer left the scenes of his crimes a lot of evidence such as fingerprints or blood stains.

Although the police at one point toyed with a list of about 2500 suspects, only a few were identified as potential murderers who were hiding under the alter ego of Zodiac. Rick Marshall was one of them had a very similar resemblance to the sketch of the murderer believed and lived, coincidentally, in the same area, coincident in time and form in several of the crimes. Lawrence Kane also met several requirements that could make believe that he was the mysterious murderer. Michael O'Hare, Ted Kaczynski (who would later be identified as the famous Unabomber) and Bruce Davis (member of the Manson clan) were more suspects approached the profile of the murderer.

But undoubtedly, the most suspected of being Zodiac Killer Arthur Leigh Allen was always a pedophile who was in jail in the mid 70's, just as Zodiac failed to act. Allen wore a Zodiac brand watch with the same symbol that the murderer used to sign his letters and was an admirer of the film 'The evil Zaroff', cited by Zodiac in his letters. Anyway, this man died in 1992, was never officially designated as the culprit of all the confusing episodes. Even not even comparing their DNA with samples taken in the letters.

Various theories and many theories of why crime has left this famous case, which resulted in not only the terror of an entire area, but also a kind of macabre cult around his figure. Perhaps the most famous case related to the Zodiac murderer was to Heriberto Seda. This man clearly inspired by Zodiac claimed he would kill one person every 21 days zodiac sign. Got attacked nine people before being apprehended in 1996.

The Zodiac murderer has already transcended the limits of a strictly police to become a legendary case of public dimensions. Both the TV series, such as film (the famous director David Fincher shot a film about the events) have led the criminal to the big screen. Still, the number of Zodiac killings continue to be one of the biggest mysteries of history criminology, at least until they can be reliably established which is responsible for authorship of the deaths. Something that, at the moment and almost forty years later, it seems highly unlikely.
