Dessert Christmas Eve Yule Log
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and for this special night is nothing better than yule log recipe. It is not the easiest recipe for this day, it is much easier flan recipe nougat, but it is a typical dessert, and if we dare, the result is worth it.
Ingredients for the yule log:
For the cake:
100 g of huevos.1 azúcar.3 harina.100 g teaspoon of yeast.
For the filling:
200 ml of leche.2 tablespoons cornstarch (corn flour) .2 g azúcar.70 huevos.150 g of butter.
For topping:
200 g of chocolate negro.50 g of butter.
Decoration:
Egg plant glasé.Papel fresca.Azúcar chocolate.Menta or 2 baking sheets with silicone.
To begin separate the whites of eggs, and we will beat until stiff. Mix together the egg yolks with sugar until creamy. This mixture of egg yolks, we add the sifted flour and baking powder. Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
We add, carefully, the egg whites until stiff and mix well. Put the buttered parchment or a silicone base on a baking tray and roll the dough on this surface. We make the dough 10 minutes at 150 degrees, while the cake is golden.
Cojemos a sheet of silicone or greaseproof paper and sprinkle icing on top. Tilt the baking sheet on it, we have to put the cake with paper or silicone sheet that we put in the tray. Roll the hot cake with the help of the sheet or waxed paper and let cool in that position.
To make the pastry cream to fill, dilute the cornstarch in the milk, we add the eggs and sugar, put the fire and stir constantly until it thickens, remove and add the butter. When cool cream and cake, unrolled it carefully and fill it, then re-roll.
To decorate, cut one end of the cake and put it as a branch at one end. For coverage we melt the chocolate in a double boiler, together with the butter, for it put hot water in a saucepan and enter a smaller diameter where the chocolate will suffice to keep warm. Made the cover chocolate, we cover the entire surface with hot chocolate, except put the branch above, subsequently marked the lines of the trunk with a fork.
We leave it to cool in the refrigerator and decorate with chocolate eggs and mint leaves, eventually we will source glass and sprinkle sugar on top.
